Job description

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver internal and external events including workshops, conferences, official visits, and stakeholder engagements.

  • Manage end-to-end event logistics, including venue coordination, scheduling, invitations, travel coordination, communications, and operational support.

  • Develop and implement communication plans to promote events, increase participation, and ensure effective information dissemination.

  • Provide on-site event support and ensure smooth execution while resolving operational or communication issues in a timely manner.

  • Evaluate event outcomes, gather lessons learned, and prepare post-event reports with recommendations for improvement.

  • Collect, consolidate, and manage stakeholder and customer feedback received through events and other communication channels.

  • Analyse engagement trends and feedback data to improve communication effectiveness and stakeholder experience.

  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to implement communication and process improvements based on feedback analysis.

  • Prepare reports, briefings, dashboards, and presentations for senior management regarding communication activities and event performance.

  • Provide guidance to staff on professional stakeholder interaction and feedback handling procedures.

  • Support senior leadership in the development and implementation of communication strategies and outreach initiatives.

  • Draft and disseminate key messages, announcements, newsletters, memos, and strategic communication material for internal and external audiences.

  • Plan, execute, and evaluate communication campaigns across multiple channels.

  • Lead and support communication and event-related projects and initiatives.

  • Coordinate the design, development, and production of communication and marketing materials supporting events and organizational initiatives.

  • Ensure all communications comply with organizational branding, messaging, and communication standards.

  • Maintain and update the organization’s media and image library, including event photography and communication assets.

  • Manage and update executive communication platforms, including the Chief’s blog and related communication channels.

  • Work closely with the Information and Knowledge Management (IKM) Officer to ensure SharePoint and digital communication content remains accurate, current, and engaging.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and partner organizations to develop innovative communication and event strategies.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from a nationally recognised/certified university in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Event Management, Journalism, or a related discipline.

  • Up to 1 year of relevant post-graduate professional experience in communications and/or event management.

  • Experience planning, coordinating, and delivering events effectively.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional international environment.

  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Experience engaging and collaborating with stakeholders across different organisational levels.

  • Ability to develop and deliver communication activities across multiple communication channels.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess feedback, identify trends, and recommend improvements.

  • Ability to prepare clear, concise, and professional reports and presentations.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital communication tools.

  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms and toolsets.

  • Professional, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience supporting senior management communication activities.

  • Familiarity with SharePoint content management and internal communication platforms.

  • Experience in international, governmental, or defence-related environments.

  • Knowledge of branding, media management, and digital content creation.
