Job description

  • Assume full lifecycle responsibility for the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of ICT projects assigned to the CSU BRU Coherence Branch under the CSU BRU project portfolio.

  • Lead ICT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery of defined objectives, system requirements, and business outcomes.

  • Prepare project documentation covering project definition, objectives, technical scope, stakeholders, and success criteria.

  • Develop detailed Project Plans with timelines, milestones, and resource allocation for acquisition, logistics, developers, network engineers, QA, and support staff.

  • Manage budgets covering hardware, software, third-party vendors, and project support costs.

  • Identify, track, and manage technical risks and issues through Risk & Issue Logs with mitigation strategies and resolutions throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders through Status Reports, meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up documentation.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, facilitate technical discussions, prioritize tasks, resolve conflicts, and provide ongoing guidance to ensure timely delivery of milestones.

  • Apply PRINCE2-based project management methodologies tailored to project type, complexity, and team structure.

  • Ensure projects comply with IT governance, security policies, architectural principles, and regulatory standards.

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation including stage gate records, approvals, change requests, and decision logs.

  • Facilitate technical workshops related to solution architecture, infrastructure readiness, system interfaces, data migration, and deployment sequencing.

  • Coordinate testing activities including test plans, test scenarios, UAT documentation, defect logs, and release planning.

  • Coordinate go-live planning, production readiness confirmation, stakeholder approvals, and deployment authorization.

  • Produce Project Closure Reports summarizing outcomes, lessons learned, deliverables, budget overview, and handover confirmations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of ICT project management experience in organizations with more than 1000 users.

  • Strong conceptual understanding and technical knowledge of current and emerging information systems and technologies, including security-related aspects.

  • Experience with technology design and deployment and understanding of its impact on business operations and security posture.

Desirable Qualifications

  • PRINCE2 certification preferred.

  • PMP, Scrum Master, and Agile certifications considered an advantage.

  • Experience with project management tools covering analytics, planning, resources, financials, and status reporting.

  • Experience with procurement-related tools and processes including purchase requests, purchase orders, approvals, sourcing, and procurement closure.

Working Conditions

  • Location: Brussels

  • Full-time on-site role.

  • Limited remote work possibility (1 day/week).

  • Normal non-smoking office environment.
